Enjoy an Evening Trail Run at Limestone Canyon
Up for a good run? If the answer is "yes," then lace up your running shoes and get ready for a hard-core adventure in beautiful Limestone Canyon. Come along with us on this guided trail run on May 1 at 5 p.m. This two and a half hour, 10 mile program is over difficult terrain and is very strenuous. Prepare to trek through the area of the recent Santiago Fire and see how quickly nature has healed. Highlights of this tour include the Sinks and some year round water sources.
Limestone canyon is a biodiversity hotspot. Experience the sights and sounds of Orange County's natural landscape. During this fast paced journey, you will have an opportunity to see a variety of wildflowers and other native plants, as well as native song birds, reptiles and invertebrates. You will also have a chance to see and hear Limestone canyon in the evening, as daytime creatures prepare to sleep and their nocturnal counterparts come alive.
Please make sure you are in excellent physical shape with previous trail running experience. Make sure to come prepared with the proper food and water requirements for a 10 mile trail run and wear proper trail running shoes and clothing.
