Yuck! That Reeks! What was that??? The suspects are usually Skunks, Turkey Vultures and Dung Beetles --these animals are typically associated with being unappealing and unpleasant, but the appalling scent emitted by these animals helps them survive against the elements. What we consider to be gross is actually beneficial to the animal's survival. Discover the good side of our gross and smelly friends.

On Saturday, June 14th bring the entire family to beautiful Bommer Canyon for a short, easy hike and informative program. Starting at 6 p.m. docents will lead you on a fun adventure. Find out all you wanted to know about why some animals look and smell a certain way.

You'll also have the chance to see a variety of nocturnal animals as they emerge from their day-time slumber for evening hunting and other activities. In addition, engage in a variety of hands-on activities that explore the fascinating and sometimes stinky world of animal grossology! The recommended age for this activity is 10 (or older) parent supervision is required.
